General Policy to be a reader in the Library
The Library readers may request documents, get access to collection items (Artists' Books and Publications, Ernesto Melo e Castro, Raymond Hains, Porto 60/70), as well as research the audiovisual collection, photographic archive and resctried collection.
A quarterly bibliographic newsletter will be sent to you. The registration as a Library user is avaliated every year, following the same procedures that are used with the Friends of Serralves card.
To access restricted collections the user's registration must be validated. This approval depends of the Museum's Direction authorization.
The on-line registration will allow you to create bibliographic lists and order reservation request of books or renew the request.
When applying for a reader pass you should complete your registration by email to
biblioteca@serralves.pt
in order to receive your identification number.
All the data will be treated according to what was established by the Portuguese Data Protection Authority and are to be used, by the library, for statistics purposes of users and loans. It is guaranteed to the user the right to access the data that directly concerns him /her, so they can be corrected or eliminated.
